Model 715 by Nilsson Electrical Laboratory Inc. is an all solid state, conductive-type pipe and cable locator.
It is great for solving cathodic protection problems as well as determining exact location and depth of pipes and cables.
A signal is applied to pipe or cable and can be accurately followed over long distances.
The transmitter tone is designed with variable frequency and interrupter rate, and can be adjusted for distinctive signal under any conditions.
It has three output impedance taps for efficient matching to all soil conditions.
The Transmitter and Receiver are interlocked, preventing storage with batteries turned on.
Power can be provided by a 12 Volt lantern battery or by a external 12 Volt source.
A battery warning light indicates when the battery needs to be replaced.
Model 715 can also be powered by an external rechargeable 12 Volt Battery, Nilsson Model 110 (described below).
The transmitter and receiver assembly are housed in a rugged, lightweight, weatherproof aluminum case measuring 7" x 7" x 11". This case provide ample storage room for accessories. Approximate weight is 9 lbs.
