Hardness Testers operate on the Leeb principle of measuring both the impact velocity of a spring-loaded impact ball prior to contacting the test surface and the rebound velocity after contact with the test surface. The small size and easy-to-use, one-hand operation makes the M-200B and M-250B testers ideal for use on internal surfaces of casting or fabricated assemblies, or on large, cumbersome samples.
