advantages:
The sensors will be mounted at the outside of tank.
There is no contact with the product.
The ultrasonic principle of measurement is harmless.
The analysis time of measurement is very short.
The distance between measuring point (sensor) and measuring station (transducer) can be up to 300 m.
Also high pressure inside the tank doesn't disturb.
An exact measurement is also possible with production of foam at the surface of liquid.
There are no hygienic problems with the sensor.
It can be measured also in toxic, corrosive and aggressive media.
The sensors don't wear out.
The mounting only requires a low expenditure of installation. Existing plants can be equipped with the sensor without interruption of process.
Borings at tanks are not necessary.
There isn't any new expenditure in testing or welding at existing pressure tanks.
Measurements at large tanks with a range up to 15 m (depending on product) are possible.
