The Ink Rub Test is used worldwide todetermine the abrasion resistance ofprinted materials. Abrasion resistance isa desirable and sometimes critical propertyof printed materials to ensure the qualityof the final product throughout the shipment,storage and handling process. A materialwith a low abrasion resistance may suffer asignificant decrease in product appearanceand legibility of printed information.
The Rub Tester is ideal for evaluatingthe abrasion resistance of any flat substrateincluding paper, board, corrugatedboard, plastic and aluminum film.
This equipment incorporates the reliabilityand accuracy of digital control withuser-friendly software that simplifies thetest process. Programmable test speeds(10 to 120 cycles/min) enable the userto quickly customize the test process totheir specific product. Higher test speedsare ideal for reducing longer test timestypical for testing plastics, UV varnishes,and printed films.
The digital control panel providesindication of the number of strokes performedduring the test, test speed, andtest temperature (with optional heatedplaten).
