This Triple Place Clifton magnetic stirrer is robustly constructed and designed for a long and durable life featuring independent advanced temperature and speed control for each hob.
Unit consists of a low profile corrosion resistant stainless steel case with a chemical resistant wipe clean sloping control panel which feature 'bright' LED display and status indicators. An aluminium hob plate provides a stable source of constant heating. An accessory retort rod can be fitted into each place mounting point and unit is supplied with one pair of PTFE coated stirring bars.

Heating
New low mass hob providing rapid energy transfer, quicker heat up times, reducing energy consumption and improved temperature uniformity over the surface of the hob since its now features a flat disc heater fitting across its diameter, instead of the more traditional construction using tubular heating elements and localised heating.
Remote measurement
An accessory probe can be plugged into rear for 'in liquid' measurement of its actual temperature and controlling set point. The PID temperature controller learns and manages the volume, its heating rate and temperature rise to minimize overshoot achieving set temperature. Once plugged in the accessory probe overrides internal hob sensor automatically.

2.Using conical glass flask 1000ml size, filled with 800ml water.

Temperature Performance Notes
1. To verify the performance of the temperature control system the unit undergoes a factory calibration procedure which calculates the temperature values over the operating range of the equipment from two reference points.
2. A printed calibration record is available as an accessory option and can be ordered when unit is purchased quoting Stock No. CAL.
3. This record provides a measurement of precision about set point with maximum and minimum sensitivity readings obtained. Precision is defined as "(1) The ability of a measurement to be consistently reproduced" and "(2) The number of significant digits to which a value has been reliably measured."
4. This record does not provide or assures any form of accuracy. Accuracy is defined as "the ability of a measurement to match the actual value of the quantity being measured".

1. The Hob temperature is precisely controlled and actual temperature value displayed on digital LED display. The over-temperature alarm is automatically set at +4°C above set point temperature providing confidence that equipment, samples and workplace are protected. When the alarm is activated the heater cuts off with an alarm indication and importantly stirring/mixing continues to dissipate excess heat.
2. With the accessory external PT100 probe for in liquid measurment and temperature control, solutions heated are controlled to set point temperature with +4°C alarm providing the same level of protection mentioned in 1. above. The accessory probe overrides the internal sensor automatically.
3. Motor is fitted with one shot over temperature safety cut out.

14. Powder painted body providing a durable finish and protection against corrosion and now featuring “active anti-bacterial technology”. This paint finish actively inhibits bacterial growth improving hygiene requirements as demanded by many clinical and laboratory environments. Hygienic coatings are part of a controlled approach to cleaner facilities. The Clifton range has always featured easy to wipe clean smooth paint finishes that are resistant to routine and efficient disinfection’s, however this improved coating featuring ‘active anti-bacterial’ properties provides an extra layer of defence. This new anti-bacterial paint finish is effective against major strains of bacterium including E-coli and Staphylococcus aureus, resistant strain. Within its formulation an active ingredient is a proven anti-bacterial agent bound into the coating during application and curing to the product. The efficacy of the paint finish applied to the Clifton range is maintained over time, as the anti-bacterial agent is integral within the paint finish. |
