The self control and display of readiness for working via a relay output ("ready", principle of zero current) includes the control of correct coupling / fixing of sensors (coupling with coupling means) and technical operativeness of the system. The appliance signalises via a further relay output when the level is reaching the mounting point of the sensors ("limit level reached").

Modifications of the presented solutions to conform to the specific measuring task are possible after consultation.

The sensors indicate as well the right coupling of the sensors at the tank (inclusive the permanent control of function) as the filling of tank wagon to the relevant level (figure 3). The sensor is applicable at the most usual tank wagons (except for in-line or double-wall tanks) and is hardly limited because of the type of liquid. The technique is also available for the usage in Hazard Areas
(category 2 according to ATEX = Hazard Area 1) (figure 4).
