This general-use detector incorporates in its basic design a switch, located in the front of the detector, that allows the user to either choose VLF mode with excellent phonic discrimination or PI (Pulse Induction) mode exceptionally useful for searches involving deeply buried targets. This is the fruit of our knowledge in making powerful detectors; this is where the name Deepers 2X1® (or two in one) comes from. This piece of equipment is unique in that no other manufacturer on the planet offers one.
Simple to use, solid and reliable in its indications, this detector Deepers 2X1® will give you great satisfaction whether you use the VLF mode with its awesome discrimination capabilities or the PI (Pulse Induction) mode for use in searches involving deep targets. It is the ideal piece of detection equipment because of its versatility and ease of use. It is appropriate for any type of Treasure hunter - the beginner to a professional. The search mode can be adjusted in a matter of minutes.
Deepers 2X1® VLF Circuit Operation is automatic; in fact it is operated by two yellow buttons only, located on the bottom row of the electronic unit. The first button on the left, VLF/GROUND, adjusts the sensitivity of the detector to the prospective terrain. The button on the right, VLF/DISCRI, allows the user to select the level of discrimination needed.
Discrimination in VLF Mode
Pulse Induction on Deepers 2X1® is operated by 4 knobs and a REJET diode. The Pulse technology in of itself requires powerful adjustment capabilities be made available to the user. Detecting in Pulse mode is static and phonic, i.e., sound is continuous and increases once the detector coil is passed over top of a target. In Pulse mode the DEEPERS 2X1® is able to locate a target, with the standard coil included with the equipment, at a depth of more than 40 inches. Another option with this detector is the hypersensitive coil, it is more powerful and makes it possible to locate targets up to a depth of 7 feet (Hypersensitive coil – to view the webpage click on: Hypersensitive Coil).
Power and energy
If one wants a power one needs the energy source to support it, it is a fundamental rule in detection. For the Deepers 2X1® we equipped the detector with rechargeable Gel-cell batteries. This type of battery offers a number of advantages: long battery life, does not weigh much, and are easy to replace. The 12V battery, 2A/H, has a built in carry case with adjustable straps. Inside the battery case is a pocket that contains two replaceable fuses. The battery is carried on the back so as to be more comfortable while searing in PI mode.
"Commando" Arm, Deepers 2X1®
The new Deepers 2X1® is equipped with the famous “Commando” arm of unrivaled technology. The bottom portion of the arm is 20 inches long made of carbon/fiber glass so that it is hollow but resistant to vigorous movements and offers absolute rigidity (important for preventing false signals especially when sweeping the terrain and returning the coil to the starting position). Assembly and disassembly in the matter of a few seconds using a ¾ turn of nuts and bolts which offers a high degree of accuracy. Equipped with a large elbow rest for comfort and it also has an ergonomic handle in order to lessen fatigue during the course of a long search.
Performance
In VLF mode the phonic discrimination is 100% for any ferrous objects ranging from a very small nail and staples on the surface of the ground to a can buried at a depth of 12-16 inches. Perfect detection and clear signal of an object located within the first 12-16 inches of depth (according to target size and volume) if made of bronze, gold, silver, copper, or brass. One cannot make a mistake even if you have your eyes closed.
In Pulse Induction mode it has excellent detection capabilities of targets from surface of the ground up to a depth of 40 inches using the standard coil included with the equipment (approximately 7 feet with the optional Hypersensitive coil) of any object or important metal deposit. You can tell an object has been discriminated out by observing the diode which will change color for every target located close to the surface (soda cans, tin cans, cement reinforcement bars, or any other ferrous waste). No deep target will be missed once the coil passes over it.
When the detector is in VLF mode, it enters a dynamic phonic detection, the detector searches in silence, when the detector coil passes over a target the equipment will emit a signal. If a ferrous target is detected the sound will be choppy or cut out when you pass over it with the coil, if the target is comprised of another metal (bronze, copper, gold, coins, and other alloys) the sound will be long, clean, and continuous as you pass the coil over top of it. It is very powerful; form a nail to a horseshoe, the discrimination is perfect. One can learn how to operate it in 5 minutes.
