The North Y-lanyard is an energy absorbing component which can be used in a variety of configuration to make a “shock absorbing” lanyard to suit your needs. The Y-lanyard gives the user 100% tie when they are climbing ladders or have to transverse around an obstruction. The controlled tearing action of the soft pak has been proven again and again over the years of service to limit the energy of a fall to less than 900lbs (4 kN).
