The digital control electronics, Type 8605,serves to operate proportional solenoid controlvalves in the power range from 40 - 2000 mA.The electronics converts an external standardsignal into a pulse-width modulated (PWM)signal with which the opening of the proportionalvalve and hence a fl uidic outputparameter (e.g. fl ow rate) can be infi nitelyvaried. An internal current control with the dutyfactor of the PWM signal as manipulatedvariable ensures that every value of the input signal, irrespective of the thermal condition ofthe coil, is unambiguously assigned a givenvalue of the effective coil current.A display and operating keys allow theelectronics to be easily adapted to a particularproportional valve and to the concrete conditions of an application.
