The Grant bio PCH-2 is a compact, flexible, easy to use system for rapid heating and cooling of microtubes and a very effective tool for DNA sample preparation for denaturing electrophoresis.

Cooling/heating range from -10º to 100ºC, with very rapid cool down and heat-up times

Stability ± 0.2ºC, uniformity ± 0.5ºC

 

Capacity for up to 20 x 1.5ml microtubes

Convenient integral reaction timer with audible alarm

Typical applications include: storing frozen restriction enzymes, nick translations, ligation reactions, restriction digests, protein solubilisation for PAGE, warm incubation of microcentrifuge tubes for hybridisation, cooling blood samples prior to coagulation testing, enzyme reactions and deactivations.

With the rapid heat-up capability of the PCH, the DNA denaturation temperature of 95ºC is quickly reached. An audible alarm signals denaturation time-up, and the samples can then be rapidly cooled again, ready to load the electrophoresis gels.

A 2-line LCD display clearly indicates both set and actual values for temperature and time. Works in combination with simple push buttons for easy set-up.
