In choosing a centrifuge which is able to accept a large volume of bottles with high g-force, the 7700 is the best choice. For the applications such as proteomics, both high g-force and large volume are necessary. The AG-5006 rotor and the AG-2506 rotor allow spinning six each of the 500mL bottles (3,000mL) over 12,000xg, six each of the 250mL bottles (1,500mL) over 20,000xg, respectively.

In choosing a centrifuge able to accept plate applications, the 7700 model is highly recommended. Genomics continues to require larger number of samples, and plate applications fit with this trend.
